WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

    A001RTOE08

    1. Disconnect the F73 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      F73-2 (IG+) - Body ground B - Body ground Power source (IG) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V
      F73-1 (B) - Body ground V - Body ground Battery power supply Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      F73-4 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Reconnect the F73 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      F73-17 (FDEF) - Body ground W - Body ground Wiper deicer signal Power switch on (IG), windshield deicer switch on Below 1 V
      Power switch on (IG), windshield deicer switch off 11 to 14 V
      F73-14 (LIN1) - Body ground L - Body ground LIN communication line Power switch on (IG) Pulse generation

  2. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY

    1. Check for pulse according to the value(s) in the table below.
