Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE REAR SPOILER
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Wiper)
REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Bulb Type)
REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for LED Type)
DISCONNECT NO. 2 AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Woofer)
Disconnect the connector.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 BACK DOOR WIRE
Disconnect the 2 connectors from the back door glass.
w/ Glass Breakage Sensor:
Disconnect the connector from the glass breakage sensor.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS

Protective Tape |
Apply protective tape to the area around the installation position of the back door glass on the back door panel to prevent it from being scratched.

Place matchmarks on the back door glass and back door panel at the locations indicated in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Matchmarks are not necessary if the back door glass is not going to be reused.

| *a | Piano Wire |
Pass a piano wire between the back door panel and back door glass from the interior.
Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects that can serve as handles.
Cut the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the back door glass.
Note
When separating the back door glass, take care not to damage the paint or interior and exterior ornaments.
When cutting the adhesive, take care not to damage the connectors on the back door glass.
Do not pull the piano wire in a vertical direction, but pull it in a horizontal direction.
Using suction cups, disengage the No. 1 back window glass spacer and No. 2 back window glass spacer and remove the back door glass.
Note
To prevent the back door glass from falling when performing this operation, be sure to hold the back door glass using suction cups.
Be careful not to drop the back door glass.
Leave as much adhesive on the back door panel as possible when removing the back door glass.
REMOVE BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING LH
When reusing the back door glass:

Using a scraper, remove the back window outside moulding LH.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the back window outside moulding LH with a new one.
REMOVE BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
REMOVE NO. 2 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER
When reusing the back door glass:

Using a scraper, remove the No. 2 back window glass spacer.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the No. 2 back window glass spacer with a new one.
REMOVE NO. 1 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER

Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 back window glass spacer.
REMOVE BACK WINDOW LOWER MOULDING
When reusing the back door glass:

Using a scraper, remove the back window lower moulding.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the back window lower moulding with a new one.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS SPACER (for Upper Side)
When reusing the back door glass:

Using a scraper, remove the 2 back door glass spacers.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the back door glass spacer with a new one.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS SPACER (for Side)

When reusing the back door glass:
Using a scraper, remove the 4 back door glass spacers.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the back door glass spacer with a new one.
