PARKING ASSIST MAIN SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT IPA MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the resistance.

        Component without harness connected

        (IPA Main Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        6 (IG) - 3 (E) IPA main switch assembly pressed Below 1 Ω
        6 (IG) - 3 (E) IPA main switch assembly not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the IPA main switch assembly.

    2. Check that the switch illuminates.


      1. A001R1QC11
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (IPA Main Switch Assembly)

        Apply battery voltage to the IPA main switch assembly and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK
        Connection Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the IPA main switch assembly.
