DATA LIST
Note
In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
Tech Tips
Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
| Tester Display | Measurement Item | Range | Normal Condition | Diagnostic Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IPA System | Existence of simple intelligent parking assist system | Without, With or Unfixed | Without: w/o Simple Intelligent Parking Assist System With: w/ Simple Intelligent Parking Assist System Unfixed: Unknown |
- |
| Parking Signal | Parking signal | OFF or ON | OFF: Shift state other than park (P) selected ON: Park (P) selected |
- |
| Reverse Signal | Reverse signal | OFF or ON | OFF: Shift state other than reverse (R) selected ON: Reverse (R) selected |
- |
| IPA Switch | IPA main switch assembly signal | OFF or ON | ON: IPA main switch assembly on OFF: IPA main switch assembly off |
- |
| Steering Wheel Location | Location of the steering wheel | Right, Left or Unfixed | Right: RH side Left: LH side Unfixed: Unknown |
- |
| HV System | Existence of hybrid system | Without, With or Unfixed | Without: w/o Hybrid system With: w/ Hybrid system Unfixed: Unknown |
- |
| History of IPA Cancel due to Lo Power | Abnormality history (The simple intelligent parking assist system was canceled or did not start operating due to low clearance warning ECU assembly IG power source voltage.) | Unrec/Rec*1 | Unrec | *2 |
| Bumper Type | Registered bumper type | Unfixed or 1 to 127 | 1: Standard 2 to 127: Unknown Unfixed: Unknown |
- |
| # Codes | Number of stored DTCs | min.: 0, max.: 255 | Number of DTCs will be displayed | - |
*1: If the IG power source voltage of the clearance warning ECU assembly dropped while the simple intelligent parking assist system was operating or was low when the IPA main switch assembly was pressed to operate the simple intelligent parking assist system, "Rec" is displayed.
*2: Clearing the DTCs will reset the abnormality history.
ACTIVE TEST
Tech Tips
Using the GTS to perform Active Tests allows relays, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
Perform the Active Test by referring to the table below.
| Tester Display | Measurement Item | Control Range | Diagnostic Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intelligent Parking Assist Indicator | Combination Meter Assembly (Illuminates the S-IPA indicator light) | S-IPA indicator light on/off | - |
