PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the resistance.

        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Parking Brake Actuator Assembly LH)
        *b Lock
        *c Release

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance (LH Side)
        Tester Connection Parking Brake Actuator Operation

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) -2 (MRL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) -1 (MRL-)

        		 Lock

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) -1 (MRL-)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) -2 (MRL+)

        		 Release

        If the result is not as specified, replace the parking brake actuator assembly LH.

    2. Check the resistance.

        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Parking Brake Actuator Assembly RH)
        *b Lock
        *c Release

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance (RH Side)
        Tester Connection Parking Brake Actuator Operation

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) -2 (MRR+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) -1 (MRR-)

        		 Lock

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) -1 (MRR-)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) -2 (MRR+)

        		 Release

        If the result is not as specified, replace the parking brake actuator assembly RH.
