DESCRIPTION

The following DTCs are stored when a malfunction occurs in the parking brake ECU assembly.

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Power switch on (IG) or electric parking brake switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) pulled to lock side with power switch off.

  2. Parking brake ECU assembly power source relay circuit is open for approximately 0.5 seconds.

Parking brake ECU assembly DTC stored An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.
C13A5/41 Electric Current of Motor

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Power switch on (IG) or electric parking brake switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) pulled to lock side with power switch off.

  2. Parking brake ECU assembly internal current is abnormal for approximately 0.1 to 0.5 seconds (differs according to malfunction).

Parking brake ECU assembly DTC stored An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.
C13B0 Electric Parking Brake ECU Malfunction

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Power switch on (IG) or electric parking brake switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) pulled to lock side with power switch off.

  2. Internal current of parking brake ECU assembly or ECU components abnormal for a maximum of 60 seconds (differs according to malfunction).

Note

When replacing the parking brake ECU assembly, operate the electric parking brake switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) as the parking brake indicator light (red) blinks when the power switch is first turned on (IG).
