DESCRIPTION

The parking brake ECU assembly receives the wheel speed signal of each wheel from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) via CAN communication.

This DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly).

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Power switch on (IG)

  2. Malfunction signal is received from skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) for approximately 0.3 seconds.

  • Skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly)

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

 DTC stored An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the parking brake ECU assembly, operate the electric parking brake switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) as the parking brake indicator light blinks (red) when the power switch is first turned on (IG).

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)

  2. CHECK DTC (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Electric Parking Brake > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the power switch off.

    3. Check for DTCs.
