Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Power switch on (IG)

  2. When power switch is first turned on (IG) after parking brake ECU assembly has been replaced, system cannot communicate with hybrid vehicle control ECU for approximately 4 seconds

  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU

  • CAN communication system

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

 DTC stored An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the parking brake ECU assembly, operate the electric parking brake switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) as the parking brake indicator light blinks (red) when the power switch is first turned on (IG).

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTC.
