DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the dynamic radar cruise control system is turned on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF button), the cruise control indicator (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode) illuminates. The hybrid vehicle control ECU uses this and other indicators to indicate the control condition (presence or absence of a preceding vehicle, vehicle-to-vehicle distance, and set vehicle speed) and fail-safe state via CAN communication.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • Before replacing the hybrid vehicle control ECU, refer to Service Bulletin.

  • When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.
