DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU receives the brake demand signal from the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly and transmits it to the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly). The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) receives a signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU and operates the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly). The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) operates the brake actuator assembly and illuminates the stop lights.

  • Before replacing the hybrid vehicle control ECU, refer to Service Bulletin.

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting.

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)

      Tech Tips

      When DTC P057113 is stored by the dynamic radar cruise control system, DTC C1380 is stored by the electronically controlled brake system. Therefore, if DTC P057113 is stored, inspect the electronically controlled brake system first.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC (CRUISE CONTROL)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the dynamic radar cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF button).

      3. Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more for 1 second or more.

    3. Check for DTCs.
