DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction is detected in the electronically controlled brake system. Check the electronically controlled brake system when DTC P157800 is stored.

P157800 Brake System While the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a malfunction in the electronically controlled brake system is detected for 0.2 seconds or more.

  • Electronically controlled brake system

  • Skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly)

  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU

  • Before replacing the hybrid vehicle control ECU, refer to Service Bulletin.

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs.

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (CRUISE CONTROL)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs

    2. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed for which dynamic radar cruise control operation is possible.

      2. Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF button).

      3. Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more for 0.2 seconds or more.

    3. Check for DTCs.
