RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG


    1. Install the 2 O-ring to the radiator drain cock plug.

      Note

      Replace the O-ring if it is damaged.

    2. Install the 2 radiator drain cock plug.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET


    1. Install the 2 radiator support grommets to the radiator assembly.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

    3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly to the vehicle body.

  5. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

  6. CONNECT SUCTION PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL RADIATOR SHUTTER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Grille Shutter)

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR LOWER SEAL LH (w/ Grille Shutter)

    Click here

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR LOWER SEAL RH (w/ Grille Shutter)

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH

  13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

  14. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

  15. INSTALL INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the inverter reserve tank assembly to the fan shroud assembly.

    2. Engage the clamp to connect the inlet hybrid water pump hose to the fan shroud assembly.

  16. CONNECT OUTLET NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE


    1. Connect the outlet No. 1 inverter cooling hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  17. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  18. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  19. CONNECT INLET NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE


    1. Connect the inlet No. 1 inverter cooling hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  20. CONNECT INLET HYBRID RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the inlet hybrid radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

    2. Engage the clamp to connect the inlet hybrid radiator hose to the fan shroud assembly.

  21. CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

    2. Engage the 4 clamps.

  22. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  23. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE


    1. Engage the 5 claws to install the No. 2 radiator air guide to the radiator assembly.

  24. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly together with hood lock support sub-assembly to the vehicle with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the cooling fan motor RH connector and cooling fan motor LH connector.

    3. Engage the 12 clamps to connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support sub-assembly and fan shroud assembly.

    4. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the horn and hood lock support assembly.

    5. Engage the clamp to connect the hood control cable sub-assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

  25. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET

  27. INSTALL HOOD LOCK NUT CAP

  28. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL

  29. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER

  30. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly to the vehicle with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  31. INSTALL INVERTER WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

  33. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  34. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)

  35. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT

  36. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine)

  37. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
