COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT EV DRIVE MODE SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for LHD)


    1. Check the resistance.


      1. A001NRPC49
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (EV Drive Mode Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        11 (S) - 8 (E) EV drive mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω
        EV drive mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the EV drive mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

    2. Check illumination.


      1. A001NRPC50
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (EV Drive Mode Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Apply auxiliary battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the EV drive mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary Battery positive (+) → 7 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)

        Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the EV drive mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

  2. INSPECT EV DRIVE MODE SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for RHD)


    1. Check the resistance.


      1. A001NRPC51
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (EV Drive Mode Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        13 (S) - 8 (E) EV drive mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω
        EV drive mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the EV drive mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

    2. Check illumination.


      1. A001NRPC50
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (EV Drive Mode Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Apply auxiliary battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the EV drive mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

        OK

        Auxiliary Battery positive (+) → 7 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)
