HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P062F46

DTC Code DTC Name
P062F46 Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module EEPROM Calibration / Parameter Memory Failure

DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU monitors its internal operation and will store these DTCs when it detects an internal malfunction. If these DTCs are output, replace the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

Tech Tips

After repair has been completed, clear the DTC and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).

  4. Turn the power switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.

  5. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  6. With power switch on (IG) and wait for 15 seconds or more.

  7. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / All Readiness.

  8. Check the DTC judgment result.

    Tech Tips

    • If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.

    • If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.

    • If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE or N/A, perform driving pattern again.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK DATA (VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (HYBRID CONTROL))

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / Vehicle Control History.

Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Utility
      Tester Display
      Vehicle Control History
    4. Read and record the vehicle control history (Hybrid Control).

  2. CHECK DATA (FREEZE FRAME DATA (HYBRID CONTROL) AND VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (HYBRID CONTROL))

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Read the freeze frame data of DTC P062F46.

      1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes
      2. According to the display on the GTS, read the freeze frame data and make a note of the value of Total Distance Traveled.

    4. Read the data recorded in the vehicle control history item (Auxiliary Battery Voltage Low (HV) or Auxiliary Battery Voltage Low (Inverter)) which was stored when the auxiliary battery voltage dropped below the threshold.

      1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / Vehicle Control History.

Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Utility
        Tester Display
        Vehicle Control History
      2. According to the display on the GTS, read the data of the vehicle control history data and make a note of the value of Total Distance Traveled.

    5. Compare the values in the freeze frame data and the vehicle control history.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
