THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during throttle body assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)

    Click here

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

    2. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.

    5. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner hose assembly.

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    2. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose assembly from the throttle body assembly.

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

      *A w/ Stud Bolt
      *B w/o Stud Bolt
      *1 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose

      Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body assembly.

      w/ Stud Bolt:


      1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.

    4. w/o Stud Bolt:


      1. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.

  6. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

      Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
