FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, lumbar support adjustment and cushion length* functions.
The front passenger seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter and front vertical functions.
The memory call function uses the key ID code of the key to memorize and recall the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses a master key or sub key.

FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT
for Driver
| Component | Function | |
|---|---|---|
| Front power seat switch (for driver) | Based on the switch operation, seat adjuster signals are input to the front power seat switch (for driver) to adjust the seat accordingly. | |
| Front seat adjuster assembly (for driver) | Slide motor | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (for driver), and slides the seat forward and rearward. |
| Front vertical motor | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (for driver), and raises and lowers the front of the seat cushion. | |
| Lifter motor | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (for driver), and raises and lowers the seat cushion. | |
| Cushion length motor*1 | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (for driver), and slide the seat cushion forward and rearward. | |
| Position sensor | Built into slide motor*2*3 or each motor*3 and sends position data to the front power seat switch (for driver) so that it can detect the position at all times. | |
| Front seatback frame sub-assembly (for driver) | Reclining motor | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (for driver), and tilts the seatback forward and rearward. |
| Position sensor*3 | Built into the reclining motor and sends position data to the front power seat switch (for driver) so that the ECU can detect the position at all times. | |
| Lumbar support adjuster assembly (for driver) | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch assembly (for driver) and operates the built-in motor to adjust the lumbar support. | |
| Seat memory switch (for driver) | If the seat memory SET switch is being pressed when one of the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switches is pressed, or if one of the M1, M2 or M3 switches is pressed within 3 seconds of pressing the SET switch, the outer mirror control ECU assembly (for driver) sends the signals so that the seat position can be stored. Then, when a seat memory switch is pressed, a signal is sent to the outer mirror control ECU assembly (for driver) and the seat position changes according to memory. |
|
| Front power seat switch assembly (for driver) | Operates the motor built into lumbar support adjuster assembly (for driver) according to switch operation. | |
| Seat variable cushion switch*1 | Operates the cushion length motor (front seat adjuster assembly (for driver)) according to switch operation. | |

The seat memory switch sends memory switch information to the outer mirror control ECU assembly. Then the information is sent to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN and then an instruction to memorize the seat position is sent to the front power seat switch via CAN. As a result, the seat position is memorized.
