PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM SETTING

      Operate the steering pad switch assembly to select PCS OFF on the multi-information display and check that the PCS OFF warning light illuminates.

      Tech Tips


      • If the engine switch is turned off with the pre-crash safety system off, the pre-crash safety system will turn on when the engine switch is turned on (IG) again.

      • The previous state of the pre-crash safety system can be retained when the customize setting "PCS Operation State Retention Setting" is set to "ON" using the GTS Click here.

  2. CHECK PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM SENSITIVITY SETTING


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Operate the steering pad switch assembly to select Change PCS Sensitivity and check that the warning timing adjustment display on the multi-information display changes between "Far", "Mid" and "Near" accordingly.

      Tech Tips


      • The selected sensitivity setting will be displayed for 6 seconds on the multi-information display.

      • The default setting is "Mid".
