LIGHTING SYSTEM Rear Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the rear door courtesy light switch using this circuit.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)


    1. Remove the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Click here.

      Rear door courtesy light switch assembly is normal.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR LH) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the H11 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P8-1 - H11-3 (LCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      P8-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FOR RH) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the H10 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q13-1 - H10-6 (RCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q13-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
