PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Roof Console Box Sub-assembly (Manual (SOS) Switch))

      Remove the roof console box sub-assembly (manual (SOS) switch).

      Click here

   2. Connect 4 dry-cell batteries (1.5 V each) in series.

   3. Connect a positive (+) from the batteries lead to terminal 5 (RRID) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 9 (GND3) of the roof console box sub-assembly (manual (SOS) switch) connector.

   4. Check if the manual (SOS) switch illuminates.

      OK
      Manual (SOS) switch illuminates.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - ROOF CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH))

   
   

   1. Disconnect the H101 telematics transceiver connector.

   2. Disconnect the T11 roof console box sub-assembly (manual (SOS) switch) connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H101-9 (SLED) - T11-5 (RRID) Always Below 1 Ω H101-26 (SIG-) - T11-9 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω H101-9 (SLED) or T11-5 (RRID) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher H101-26 (SIG-) or T11-9 (GND3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG
