VACUUM PUMP ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCONNECT UNION TO CHECK VALVE HOSE

  2. OPERATION CHECK

      *a Vacuum Gauge

      Connect the hose of a vacuum gauge to the vacuum pump assembly.

    2. Start the engine and warm it up for more than 2 minutes.

    3. With the engine idling, measure the negative pressure of the vacuum pump assembly.

      Standard pressure
      Higher than 86.7 kPa (650 mmHg, 25.6 in.Hg)

      Tech Tips

      If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum pump assembly.

    4. Remove the vacuum gauge from the vacuum pump assembly.
