REAR STRUT ROD INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR STRUT ROD ASSEMBLY


    1. A01W2H9

      Temporarily tighten rear strut rod assembly (rear) with the bolt and nut.

      Note

      When temporarily tightening the bolt, keep the nut from rotating.

      Tech Tips

      Insert the bolt from the inside of the vehicle.

    2. Support the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with a jack and a wooden block.

    3. Connect the rear strut rod assembly (front) with the 2 bolts.

  2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  3. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR STRUT ROD ASSEMBLY


    1. Fully tighten the bolt (rear).

      Torque:
      80 N*m  { 816 kgf*cm, 59 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Since a stopper nut is used, fully tighten the bolt.

    2. Fully tighten the 2 bolts (front).

      Torque:
      85 N*m  { 867 kgf*cm, 63 ft.*lbf }
  4. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }
  5. INSTALL NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER COVER

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER (for RH Side)

  7. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1049 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
