DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) sends signals such as cruise control cancel signals and brake demand response signals to the ECM when the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
P1630 While the vehicle speed is 40 km/h (or 25 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode), if communication data from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is logically inconsistent for approximately 0.5 seconds or more.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Using the GTS, check that the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      OK
      CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  2. REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

  3. CHECK FOR DTCs (DTC P1630)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs Click here.
