EXHAUST PIPE ADJUSTMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. ADJUST TAIL EXHAUST PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Protect the rear bumper assembly using protection material such as a piece of cloth to avoid damage by the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly.

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the tail exhaust pipe assembly side.

      Loosen the 2 nuts.

      Tech Tips

      Loosen the nuts so that the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly can be adjusted by hand.

      *b 23 to 26.5 mm (0.906 to 1.04 in.) (Reference Dimension)
      *c 80 mm (3.15 in.) (Reference Dimension)
      *d 50 mm (1.97 in.) (Reference Dimension)
      *e 33 to 43 mm (1.3 to 1.69 in.) (Reference Dimension)

      Adjust the position of the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure the clearance between the rear bumper assembly and tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is even.

    3. Tighten the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      19 N*m  { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }
