VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE(for ACIS) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 37 to 44 Ω
      1 - Valve body Always 10 kΩ or higher
      2 - Valve body

      If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve assembly.

      Using a vacuum pump, check that air flows through the vacuum switching valve assembly as specified.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery voltage applied between terminals 1 and 2 and vacuum applied to port F. Air is sucked into port E.
      Battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2 and vacuum applied to port E. Air is sucked into filter.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve assembly.
