REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH (w/ Side Marker Light)


    1. Remove the rear combination light lens and body LH.

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Combination Light Lens and Body LH)

      Apply battery voltage to the rear combination light lens and body LH and check that the lights come on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      The stop light comes on

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      The taillight comes on

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      The rear side marker light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear combination light lens and body LH.

  2. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH (w/o Side Marker Light)


    1. Remove the rear combination light lens and body LH.

      Apply battery voltage to the rear combination light lens and body LH and check that the lights come on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      The taillight comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear combination light lens and body LH.

  3. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY RH (w/ Side Marker Light)


    1. Remove the rear combination light lens and body RH.

  4. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY RH (w/o Side Marker Light)


    1. Remove the rear combination light lens and body RH.

      Apply battery voltage to the rear combination light lens and body RH and check that the lights come on.

      OK

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      The taillight comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear combination light lens and body RH.

  5. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Reconnect the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH to the rear combination light lens and body LH.

      Apply battery voltage to the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH and check that the lights come on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (STP)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (E)

      The stop light comes on

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (TL)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (E)

      The taillight comes on

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (E)*

      The rear side marker light comes on

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (TRN)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (E)

      The turn signal light comes on

      • *: w/ Side Marker Light

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

  6. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Reconnect the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH to the rear combination light lens and body RH.

      Apply battery voltage to the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH and check that the lights come on.

      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (STP)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (E)

      The stop light comes on

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (TL)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (E)

      The taillight comes on

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (E)*

      The rear side marker light comes on

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (TRN)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (E)

      The turn signal light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH.
