FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

When the front bumper is damaged or deformed due to an accident or contact with other objects, etc., or the bumper installation area on the body is repaired, it is necessary to perform millimeter wave radar sensor adjustment.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the front bumper assembly into position and install the bolt.

    2. w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Pull back the side of the front bumper assembly and connect the No. 4 engine room wire connector.

        Note

        Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the front bumper assembly.

    3. w/ Pre-crash Safety System:


      1. Connect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.

    4. Pull back the side of the front bumper assembly and connect the 2 fog light connectors.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the front bumper assembly.

      Engage the claw (B) and claw (C) in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    6. Engage the 3 claws (A) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    7. Install the 6 screws.

    8. Install the 2 front bumper seal brackets.

      Note

      Do not pull the front bumper assembly after the front bumper seal bracket is installed, or the front bumper assembly may be damaged.

    9. Install the 2 screws.

      Install the pin hold clip as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Insert the pin hold clip with the slot aligned vertically. Do not rotate the clip after inserting it. After installation, confirm that the slot is aligned vertically.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    11. Install the front bumper assembly with the 2 clips.

  2. INSTALL CENTER HOOD CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 center hood cushions.

  3. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL


    1. Install the cool air intake duct seal with the 9 clips.

  4. ADJUST FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY
