AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM ECU Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the state of the engine switch, and sends it to the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly).

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Data List.

   5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND - HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY))

   
   

   1. Disconnect the A80 headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

   2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A80-14 (IGS) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V A80-14 (IGS) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V A80-15 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V A80-15 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A80-22 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
