LIGHTING SYSTEM Hazard Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives the hazard switch ON signal and controls the operation of the hazard warning lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      ON: Hazard switch on

  2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (HAZARD SWITCH)


    1. Remove the radio receiver assembly (hazard switch) Click here.

    2. Inspect the radio receiver assembly (hazard switch) Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H13 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. w/ Navigation System:


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        H98-9 (HAZ) - H13-2 (HZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
        H98-9 (HAZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        H97-12 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. w/ Audio and Visual System:


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        H181-4 (HAZ) - H13-2 (HZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
        H181-4 (HAZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        H182-7 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
