HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the cabin.

    2. Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.

    3. Engage the hood cable grommet.

    4. Engage the 5 clamps to install the hood lock control cable assembly.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the cabin.

    2. Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.

    3. Engage the hood cable grommet.

    4. Engage the 4 clamps to install the hood lock control cable assembly.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. A01W2X7

        Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A01W5KM

        Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

    3. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    4. Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    5. Engage the clamp.

    6. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  6. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for LHD)
