DESCRIPTION

The cooler control switch assembly communicates with the air conditioning amplifier assembly through the LIN communication system.

If the LIN communication system malfunctions, the air conditioning amplifier assembly does not operate even if the cooler control switch assembly is operated.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the h2 cooler control switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      h2-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      h2-7 (IG+) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
      h2-7 (IG+) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      h2-6 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
      h2-6 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

    1. Disconnect the h2 cooler control switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H191 engine stop and start ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Reconnect the H191 engine stop and start ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the H54 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  8. REPLACE COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Tech Tips

      Since the cooler control switch assembly cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the cooler control switch assembly with a new or known good one and same problem occurs again.
