OUTLINE
A manual tilt and telescopic mechanism and a power tilt and telescopic system are available.
The manual tilt and telescopic mechanism allows adjustment of the steering wheel position in the vertical and longitudinal directions via the operation of a lever. This provides a comfortable driving position for the driver.
The power tilt and telescopic system consists of the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU, tilt and telescopic switch, tilt motor, and telescopic motor.
A memory function is available for the power tilt and telescopic system. This function operates in unison with the driver seat and the outside rearview mirrors.
The inflator damper suppresses the steering wheel vibrations.
The steering wheel vibrator vibrates the steering wheel to alert the driver as part of the lane departure alert system.
