FIT STANDARD / ADJUSTMENT METHOD ADJUSTMENT


  1. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas "a" through "e" are within each standard range.

  2. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Horizontally and vertically adjust the hood.


      1. A002KNR

        Loosen the 4 hinge bolts of the hood.

      2. Adjust the clearance between the hood and front fender by moving the hood.

      3. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts after the adjustment.

        Torque:
        13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
    2. Adjust the height of the front end of the hood using the hood bumper cushions.


      1. A002KNE

        Adjust the 2 hood bumper cushions so that the heights of the hood and fender are aligned.

        Tech Tips

        Raise or lower the front end of the hood by turning the 2 cushion rubbers.

    3. Remove the cool air intake duct seal.

    4. Adjust the hood lock.


      1. A002KPU

        Loosen the 3 bolts.

      2. Tighten the bolts after adjustment.

        Torque:
        8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
      3. Check that the striker can engage with the hood lock smoothly.

    5. Install the cool air intake duct seal.

  3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR


    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas "a" through "t" are within each standard range.

  4. ADJUST FRONT DOOR

    Note

    Make sure to turn the engine switch off when adjusting door lock strikers.

      Using SST, loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the vehicle body and adjust the door position.

    2. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the vehicle body after adjustment.

      Torque:
      26 N*m  { 265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }
    3. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the door and adjust the door position.

    4. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the door after adjustment.

      Torque:
      27 N*m  { 275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf }
    5. A002KN7

      Disengage the 4 claws and front door lock striker cover.

    6. A002KKY

      Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, slightly loosen 2 the striker mounting screws.

    7. Using a brass bar and a hammer, hit the striker to adjust its position.

    8. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 striker mounting screws after adjustment.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
    9. Engage the 4 claws to front door lock striker cover.

  5. INSPECT REAR DOOR


    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas "a" through "q" are within each standard range.

  6. ADJUST REAR DOOR

    Note

    Make sure to turn the engine switch off when adjusting door lock strikers.

      Using SST, loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the vehicle body and adjust the door position.

    2. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the vehicle body after adjustment.

      Torque:
      26 N*m  { 265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }
    3. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the door and adjust the door position.

    4. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the door after adjustment.

      Torque:
      27 N*m  { 275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf }
    5. A002KQH

      Disengage the 4 claws and rear door lock striker cover.

    6. A002KP2

      Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, slightly loosen the 2 striker mounting screws.

    7. Using a brass bar and a hammer, hit the striker to adjust its position.

    8. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 striker mounting screws after adjustment.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
  7. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR


    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas "a" through "d" are within each standard range.

  8. ADJUST LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR


    1. A002KIF

      Loosen the 4 door side hinge bolts to adjust the door horizontally and vertically.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }
    2. A002KMQ

      Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, slightly loosen the 2 striker mounting screws.

    3. Using a brass bar and a hammer, hit the striker to adjust its position.

    4. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 striker mounting screws after adjustment.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
