4WD CONTROL ECU REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note:
    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click hereClick hereClick here).

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick here).

  2. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH

  3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

  5. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT COVER LH

  8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR COVER

  10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the bolt and four wheel drive control ECU.
