DESCRIPTION

If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects a communication error with an ECU connected to the door bus lines for 7 seconds or more, DTC B2325 will be stored.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • When a power window regulator motor assembly is replaced or removed and reinstalled, it is necessary to perform initialization.

  • Before performing the inspection, check that DTC B1206, B1249, B1273, B2321, B2322, B2323, B2324 or B2329 is not output.

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

  • The vehicle battery supplies power to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via the door control battery. Therefore, before proceeding with troubleshooting, perform an on-vehicle inspection and confirm that the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) power source circuit is normal.*

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      This inspection is to check the LIN communication line in the instrument panel junction block assembly that connects the wire harness to the built-in main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - EACH ECU)


    1. for LHD


      1. Disconnect the N13 power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) connector.

      2. Disconnect the M13 power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger door) connector.

      3. Disconnect the P1 power window regulator motor assembly (for rear LH door) connector.

      4. Disconnect the O1 power window regulator motor assembly (for rear RH door) connector.

      5. Disconnect the N7 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.

      6. Disconnect the U2 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.*1

      7. Disconnect the U2 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.*2

      8. Disconnect the w1 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.*2

      9. Disconnect the J44 double lock door control relay assembly connector.*3

      10. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Note

        Make sure that each ECU is in sleep mode before performing the inspection. To enter sleep mode, turn the engine switch from on (IG) to off and wait for 180 seconds or more without operating any switches.

      4. Disconnect the O1 power window regulator motor assembly (for rear RH door) connector.

      5. Disconnect the M7 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.

      6. Disconnect the U2 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.*1

      7. Disconnect the U2 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.*2

      8. Disconnect the w1 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.*2

      9. Disconnect the J44 double lock door control relay assembly connector.*3

      10. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Note

      1. Reconnect the 2B and 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

      2. Reconnect the w13 power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) connector.

      3. Reconnect the M13 power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger door) connector.

      4. Reconnect the O1 power window regulator motor assembly (for rear RH door) connector.

      5. Reconnect the N7 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.

      6. Reconnect the U2 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.*1

      7. Reconnect the U2 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.*2

      8. Reconnect the w1 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.*2

      9. Reconnect the J44 double lock door control relay assembly connector.*3

      10. Clear the DTCs.

      4. Reconnect the O1 power window regulator motor assembly (for rear RH door) connector.

      5. Reconnect the M7 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.

      6. Reconnect the U2 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.*1

      7. Reconnect the U2 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.*2

      8. Reconnect the w1 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.*2

      9. Reconnect the J44 double lock door control relay assembly connector.*3

      10. Clear the DTCs.
