EXHAUST PIPE(for AWD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor)

  2. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Rear Air Fuel Ratio Sensor)

  3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new exhaust pipe gasket to the front exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. Install the front exhaust pipe assembly to the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly (TWC: Front Catalyst) with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

    3. for Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor:


      1. Engage the clamp and connect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

    4. for Rear Air Fuel Ratio Sensor:


      1. Engage the clamp and connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst)


    1. Install a new exhaust pipe gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. Install the No. 2 center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst) from the 4 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Install the No. 2 center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst) from the front exhaust pipe assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new exhaust pipe gasket to the No. 2 center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

    2. Connect the tail exhaust pipe assembly to the 3 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Install the tail exhaust pipe assembly to the No. 2 center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst) with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE


    1. Install the 2 front floor center braces to the vehicle body with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK

    If gas is leaking, tighten the areas necessary to stop the leak. Replace damaged parts as necessary.


    1. Perform Inspection After Repair after repairing an exhaust gas leak.

  8. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH


    1. Engage the 5 clamps to install the front floor cover LH to the vehicle body with the 2 bolts and clip.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH

    Perform the same procedure as for the front floor cover LH.
