LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives signals from each ECU and switch and drives the luggage compartment door lock assembly.
    Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly)*1 Sends an open signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    ECM

    • Sends a shift lever position signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    • Sends the stop light switch on signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Combination Meter Assembly Sends a vehicle speed signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Luggage Compartment Door Opening Switch Assembly Sends an on signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) in order to open the luggage compartment door from the cabin.
    Luggage Electrical Key Switch*1 Sends an on signal to the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) in order to open the luggage compartment door from the outside.
    Electrical Key Transmitter Sub-assembly*1 Sends a luggage compartment door opener switch on signal to the door control receiver.
    Door Control Transmitter (Cut Key) Assembly*2

    Luggage Compartment Door Lock Assembly


    • Luggage Compartment Door Courtesy Switch

    • Luggage Compartment Door Lock Motor

    • Drives the built-in motor via the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) control to open the luggage compartment door.

    • Sends a luggage compartment door open signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Door Control Receiver

    • Sends a luggage compartment door opener switch on signal received from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly to the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).*1

    • Sends a luggage compartment door opener switch on signal received from the door control transmitter (cut key) assembly to the main body ECU(multiplex network body ECU).*2
    Wireless Door Lock Buzzer Sounds once when the luggage compartment door is opened using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly*1 or door control transmitter (cut key) assembly*2.

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The operating conditions of the luggage compartment door opener system are as follows:

      Operation Condition
      Luggage Compartment Door Open

      When the luggage compartment door is closed and any of the following conditions is met, the luggage compartment door can be opened by pressing the luggage compartment door opening switch assembly or luggage electrical key switch*:


      • ignition switch is off.

      • ignition switch is ON, vehicle speed is approximately 5 km/h (approximately 3 mph) or less and shift lever is in P.

      • ignition switch is ON, vehicle speed is approximately 5 km/h (approximately 3 mph) or less and brake pedal is depressed.

      • ignition switch is ON, vehicle speed is approximately 5 km/h (approximately 3 mph) or less and parking brake is engaged.

      • The user is inside the exterior actuation area around the luggage compartment door while holding the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.

      When the luggage compartment door is closed and the following condition is met, the luggage compartment door can be opened by pressing the luggage electrical key switch.*


      • Any door is unlocked by entry function, wireless door lock control function, key-linked unlock function or door control switch.
