CONDENSER(for 8AR-FTS) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

    for HFC-134a (R134a):

  2. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler)

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (for LHD)

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (for RHD)

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  11. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  12. DISCONNECT NO. 3 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 2 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE

  14. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS HOSE

  15. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH INTERCOOLER COOLING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 4 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly or radiator assembly when removing the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

  16. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 4 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the cooler condenser assembly from the intercooler cooling radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or intercooler cooling radiator assembly when removing the cooler condenser assembly.
