FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY(for 1ZR-FAE, 2ZR-FAE) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY LH

2. REMOVE FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY RH

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

   • for 1ZR-FAE: (Click here)

   • for 2ZR-FAE: (Click here)

4. DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

   • for EC61: (Click here)

   • for EC62: (Click here)

5. DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

   (Click here)

6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH

   1. 

      Using SST, remove the front drive shaft.

      09520-01010

      Note:

      • Be careful not to damage the transaxle case oil seal, inboard joint boot or drive shaft dust cover.

      • Be careful not to drop the drive shaft.

7. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
