STARTER(for VALEO Made) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the starter armature to the starter yoke.

  2. INSTALL STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

      Align the protrusion of the starter brush holder with the cutout of the rubber part of the starter yoke.

    2. While compressing the springs, install the starter brush holder to the starter armature.

  3. INSTALL STARTER COMMUTATOR END FRAME ASSEMBLY

      Align the protrusion of the starter commutator end frame with the cutout of the starter brush holder and install the starter commutator end frame.

  4. INSTALL STARTER CLUTCH SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Align the protrusion of the starter clutch with the cutout of the starter yoke and install the starter clutch.

    2. A004ODV

      Install the starter pinion drive lever to the starter drive lever pin.

    3. A004QR6

      Apply MP grease to the starter pinion drive lever and starter drive lever pin.

    4. A004THM

      Install the starter pinion drive lever to the starter clutch.

  5. INSTALL STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

      Align the protrusion of the starter clutch with the cutout of the starter drive end frame.

    2. Install the starter yoke with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Apply MP grease to the hook part of the magnet starter switch.

    2. Install the rubber seal.

      Align the protrusions of the plate and boot with the cutout of the starter drive housing and install the plate and boot.

    4. Install the return spring.

    5. Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, install the magnet starter switch with the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      3.6 N*m  { 37 kgf*cm, 32 in.*lbf }

    6. Connect the lead wire to terminal C with the nut.

      Torque:
      9.5 N*m  { 97 kgf*cm, 84 in.*lbf }
