FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp under the seat.

    3. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    4. Lift up the seat track handle sub-assembly LH and move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    6. Lift up the seat track handle sub-assembly LH and move the seat to the foremost position.

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.

  3. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (Except Single Cab)

    1. Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the inner seat track bracket cover.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the claws.

  4. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (Except Single Cab)

    1. Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the outer seat track bracket cover.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the claws.

  5. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD, w/ Seat Heater System:

      Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. Turn the seat heater switch on.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
