LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

  2. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 STEERING COLUMN COVER

    Click here

  5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

      Remove the screw <F>.

    2. B371810

      Disengage the claw, 4 clips and guide.

    3. Disconnect each connector and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel.

  6. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Radio Receiver)

      Disengage the 4 clips.

    2. Disconnect each connector and remove the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

  7. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (for Radio Receiver Type)

  8. REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (for Radio and Display Type)

  9. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (except Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  10. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  11. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX

      Remove the bolt <A>.

      w/ Entry and Start System

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. w/ Entry and Start System:

      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

      Disengage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration to remove the front console box.

  13. REMOVE CIGARETTE LIGHTER HOLE COVER

      for Radio and Display Type

      Disengage the 2 clips.

    2. for Radio and Display Type:

      1. Disengage the 2 claws.

    3. Disconnect each connector to remove the cigarette lighter hole cover.

  14. REMOVE AIRBAG CUT OFF SWITCH CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  15. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH (w/ Tire Pressure Warning System)

  16. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the lower No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.

  17. DISCONNECT FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the claw and 2 guides to disconnect the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly.

  18. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. B371818

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the wire harness cover.

    2. Disengage each clamp.

      Bolt <C>

    3. Disconnect each connector.

    4. Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the DLC3.

    5. Remove the bolt <C>.

    6. Remove the 2 bolts <A>, bolt <B>, bolt <C>, 9 screws <D> or <E> and lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
