  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE

    1. Inspect the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

    2. Check the "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level 1)" and "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level 2)".

      Tip:

      If a value other than zero is displayed for "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level1)" or "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level2)", PTC heater and seat heater system (w/ Seat Heater System) operation may have been limited in the past. If the operation is still limited, the message "High Power Consumption Partial Limit On AC/Heater Operation." will be displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly. In this case, inspect the charging system.

    3. Clear the "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level 1)" and "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level 2)".

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  5. CHECK FOR DTC*

    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the air conditioning system DTC by simulating the operation indicated by the DTC.
