LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM(w/ Steering Control) Steering Pad Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU assembly receives a LDA main switch signal from the steering pad switch assembly and sends the signal to the forward recognition camera via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CAN BUS CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Can Bus Check.

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    5. Check DTCs.

    6. Turn the engine switch off.

      Result

  3. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

  4. INSPECT SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I4 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I159 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I4-12 (DIST) - I159-23 (SPSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I4-12 (DIST) or I159-23 (SPSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Connect the I159 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    5. Connect the I4 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - ECM)


    1. Disconnect the I4 spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A35 ECM connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      for 8AR-FTS:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I4-2 (ECC) - A35-41 (ECCS) Always Below 1 Ω
      for 3ZR-FAE:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I4-2 (ECC) - A35-35 (ECCS) Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Reconnect the I4 spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly connector.

    5. Reconnect the A35 ECM connector.
