DESCRIPTION
When the theft deterrent system is switched from the armed state to the alarm sounding state, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) transmits a signal to cause the security horn to sound at intervals of 0.4 seconds.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
When replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), make sure to replace it with a new one.
PROCEDURE
PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (SECURITY HORN)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test.

Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
Connect the instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.
Remove the security horn relay.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
