DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the combination meter sub-assembly detects a fuel sender gauge malfunction via a direct line.

  1. Fuel sender gauge operation malfunction


  • Harness or connector

  • Fuel sender gauge assembly

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (FUEL INPUT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the L27 combination meter sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER SUB-ASSEMBLY - FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the R11 fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L27-12 (L) - R11-2 (FS) Always Below 1 Ω
      L27-12 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L27-13 (ES 2) - R11-3 (FE) Always Below 1 Ω
      L27-13 (ES 2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
