STEERING BEVEL GEAR ASSEMBLY INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT PRELOAD


    1. Turn the bevel gears No.1 and No.2 5 to 6 times to settle.

    2. B007URKE01

      Using SST, measure the turning torque of the bevel gear No.1.

      SST
      09612-24014   ( 09616-10010 )
      Preload (turning torque of bevel gear No.1)
      0.15 to 0.39 N*m (1.5 to 4.0 kgf*cm, 1.3 to 3.5 in.*lbf)

      If turning torque is not as specified, replace the steering bevel gear assembly.
