ROOF HEADLINING(for 3 Door) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Package Tray Trim)

  2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

  7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

    2. Remove any residual weatherstrip sealant from the vehicle body using cleaner.

      Note:

      Remove the sealant completely. Any residual sealant may transfer to other areas of the vehicle when removing/installing the interior parts.

  9. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

      Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.

      Front Pillar Garnish Clip

      Pull the upper part of the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration to disengage the clip and front pillar garnish clip.

      Front Pillar Garnish Clip

      Cut

      Cut off the front pillar garnish clip.

    4. Pull the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove the front pillar garnish LH.

    5. Remove the clip and front pillar garnish clip from the front pillar garnish LH.

    6. Remove the front pillar garnish clip from the vehicle body.

      Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly LH

      Adhesive Tape

      Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.

      Note:

      Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.

  10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL

  14. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  16. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 8 claws and 6 clips to remove the front quarter trim panel assembly LH.

  17. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH COVER LH (w/o Luggage Compartment Room Light)

  18. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Luggage Compartment Room Light)

  19. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH END COVER LH

    1. B370772

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 5 claws and remove the roof side garnish end cover LH.

  20. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

    1. B370774

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the screw and clip.

    3. Disengage the claw and 11 clips.

    4. Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH and No. 1 rear seat outer belt assembly LH through the inner roof side garnish LH and remove the inner roof side garnish LH.

    5. Remove the clip (A) from the inner roof side garnish LH.

  21. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  22. DISCONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  24. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH END COVER RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  25. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Normal Roof)

  27. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Canvas Top)

  28. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY HOLE PLUG (for Canvas Top)

  29. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

  30. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  31. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER LH

  32. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  33. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Normal Roof)

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

    2. Using a knife, cut the roof headlining assembly as shown by the cut lines in the illustration.

      Note:

      In order to avoid damaging the roof panel, do not cut the roof headlining assembly to a depth of more than 6 mm (0.236 in.).

    3. Insert a finger between the roof headlining assembly and roof panel and gently pull down and remove each piece of the roof headlining assembly and adhesive, one by one.

      Note:

      In order to avoid damaging the roof panel, do not pull the roof headlining assembly downward with excessive force.

    4. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle.

  34. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Canvas Top)

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips and 14 fasteners.

    3. B370791

      Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the passenger door as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.
