DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU sends signals such as cruise control cancel signals and brake demand response signals to the ECM when the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating.

  • While the vehicle speed is 36 km/h (22 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, communication data from the skid control ECU is logically inconsistent for approximately 0.5 seconds or more.

w/ Full-speed range following function:


  • While the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, communication data from the skid control ECU is logically inconsistent for approximately 0.5 seconds or more.

  • CAN communication system

  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)*1

  • Skid control ECU assembly*2

  • ECM

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Using the GTS, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Click here

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (RADAR CRUISE 1)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.

  3. REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU

      Replace the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly).

      Replace the skid control ECU assembly.
