RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE LIGHT CUT RELAY

    1. for Automatic Air Conditioning System:

      Remove the air conditioning control assembly (Click here).

    2. for Manual Air Conditioning System:

      Remove the air conditioning control assembly (Click here).

      Remove the light cut relay from the center relay box.

  2. INSPECT LIGHT CUT RELAY

    1. Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection

        Condition

        Specified Condition

        3 - 5

        Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2

        10 kΩ or higher

        Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2

        Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the light cut relay.

  3. INSTALL LIGHT CUT RELAY

    1. Install the light cut relay to the center relay box.

    2. for Automatic Air Conditioning System:

      Install the air conditioning control assembly (Click here).

    3. for Manual Air Conditioning System:

      Install the air conditioning control assembly (Click here).
