RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER

    1. Remove the 4 screws and front lower bumper absorber.

  5. REMOVE RADIATOR LOWER AIR GUIDE PLATE

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the radiator lower air guide plate.

  6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  9. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Detach the clamp to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support.

  10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the horn connector.

    2. Remove the 2 clips, 2 bolts and front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER AIR GUIDE PLATE

      Remove the 6 clips and radiator upper air guide plate.

  12. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  13. DISCONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  14. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS

      w/o Hood Courtesy Switch

      Disconnect the 2 cooling fan motor connectors.

    2. Detach the 4 wire harness clamps to disconnect the wire harness.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR SUPPORT

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 No. 1 radiator supports.

  16. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

    1. A362641

      Remove the 4 bolts and upper radiator support.

  17. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the radiator hose sub-assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. A196193

      Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the water inlet.

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass pipe.

  20. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  21. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud.

      Tip:

      After removing the radiator assembly, make sure that both lower radiator supports are attached to the fan shroud.

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the radiator hose sub-assembly from the clamp.

    2. Slide the hose clamp and remove the radiator hose sub-assembly from the radiator assembly.

  23. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      Slide the hose clamp and remove the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  24. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE

    1. A362644

      Detach the 3 clamps, slide the hose clamp and remove the water by-pass pipe from the radiator assembly.

  25. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT

    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the fan shroud.

  26. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 fan shroud.

  27. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 2 guides and remove the cooler condenser assembly.

  28. REMOVE FAN SHROUD

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and fan shroud.
